While I think it is important to put a face on a message to help give context to the words and concepts I have to share with you, I also feel very awkward about posting my photo on this site. The message I am sharing is not about me, or even my children specifically - it is about a completely preventable yet permanently debilitating disease that has affected my children and could affect yours.
However, since it’s part of human nature to wonder - here’s a photo of me.
It also seemed incongruous to post of photo of myself smiling when this is such a serious issue - but I think it is important for people to know that we remain optimistic and positive throughout this, as that is what is best for our children.
